The ICMS EDI

Integration Analyst will implement processes and procedures that ensure our

Integrated Claims Management System (ICMS) is in compliance with IAIABC

Release 3 Claims Processing standards.

This person’s primary function is onboarding and integrating EDI

transactions between SBWC’s ICMS system and external trading partners’

systems. The ICMS EDI Integration

Analyst works closely with trading partners to communicate existing

transactions and expand where necessary the transactions and business process

flows. This person will also work

closely with the development team, EDI support team, and various other internal

departments.

Secondary job functions include, but not limited to, assisting with process

and application improvements, system support for internal and external users,

and conducting training events that focus on ICMS and EDI processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

:

Technical Skills

Maintain and configure EDI tables from

IAIABC

Review and correct daily errors for inbound EDI

transactions and retransmit outbound transactions as necessary and validate

EDI documents.

Review ICMS EDI team trouble tickets, report on ICMS

EDI tickets and assist in related database maintenance and basic

troubleshooting or rejects and other issues.

Provide production support as needed for already

developed system components.

Setup test data and provide test files to the EDI

team or to the trading partner as needed.

Drive and support the testing of developed EDI

transactions to ensure quality of the project deliverables.

Professional

Skills

Participates in implementation /

enhancement projects for ICMS

Participates in project delivery lifecycle – taking

approved designs through to go-live.

Builds strong relationships with other IT

professionals, business users and business partners.

Provide quality ICMS EDI requirements as well as work

with Process Improvement and Claim Processing and development areas to

gather and produce full technical requirements and estimates.

Deliver functional specifications & configuration

in line with the agreed and approved design.

Complete documentation and designated testing.

Provide integration testing support, and review of

end-user training materials.

Support project cut-overs, go-lives and support.

Will continually learn relevant EDI techniques to

provide value to our business by enhancing self-knowledge and

capability.

Will fully document all projects, EDI maps, business

processes and support documentation.

Complies at all times with the published IAIABC

Claims processing Standards

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

experience in Computer Science / Information Science, or a related field

or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3+ years B2B and EDI experience is required.

3+ years of experience with IAIABC Claims Reporting

Standard and development experience with knowledge of Business Process, EDI

mapping developments and FTP secure mailbox features.

Experience working with Value Added Networks (VAN)

and direct connections

Knowledge of ANSI X12, XML, HTML, HTTPS, FTP/sFTP.

Strong skills in SQL to correct problems w/database,

etc.

Must have strong problem solving, root cause analysis

and solution design skills.

Ability to understand business needs and apply

standards solutions/software configurations to meet requirements.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to

promote ideas and work effectively with all levels within the

organization.

Strong attention to details and an ability to

prioritize and work in a highly fluent and fast paced environment.

Excellent time management skills to effectively

manage changes in priority, implementations and daily support issues.

Good team player, self-motivating and committed with

an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience OR Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of related experience OR Two years of experience at the lower level IT Business Analyst 2 (ITP061) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications – External

:

Experience with IAIABC Release 3

Experience in configuring and maintaining EDI setups in

MS Excel tables
