Description-

Producing huge quantities of high-quality, homemade ice cream and ice cream cakes. We work hard to efficiently make in large amounts (factory production style) to fill THREE display cases AT EACH STORE and back-up stock for ALL of our locations. That is right, you would be making all product with the rest of your production team for 3 of our local stores! We pride ourselves in following the recipes and measurements precisely, to ensure each ice cream is EXACTLY the way Mr. Strachan made it at home. These are award-winning recipes with multiple steps and ingredients that are well known throughout Florida. We are looking for someone who would take our Ice Creams as seriously as we do! ; ) You would be working independently daily to take inventory and manage stock and production. Not only would you need to fill and replenish shop needs, but also manage your time and schedule and customer orders as well. All prep work, production, inventory, stocking, FIFO, and cleaning and organizing in freezers are done twice daily and should also be done quickly, and efficiently. We do have a lobby showcase room where you would work and decorate ice cream cakes in front of customers while we are busy. This means there would be a huge emphasis on cleanliness, professionalism and positive personality!

Requirements-

Over 18, clean driving record and transportation, ability to pass background check, leadership experience is a plus+, food safety handler or management certification is a plus+, Food production setting experience; (line cook, fudge making, cake decorating, packaging, etc), Must posses strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. taking temperatures a minimum of three times a day and ensuring that each piece of equipment is running properly. Happy and smiling while working! ; ), MUST posses strong ability to work VERY FAST and EFFICIENTLY and under pressure with a positive attitude, must have very strong ability to multitask, desire to serve and please, ability to follow precise recipes and instructions, consistent work and product, ability to engage in conversation with guests and public you do not know and make them feel welcome, answering phones and taking orders, neat and clean appearance (clean shaven, no visible tattoos or may cover up, no fake nails or visible piercings), ability to get all of your dishes clean while you work, mopping floors, knowledge of food safety or eagerness to be educated on it and take food safety very seriously, ability to lift heavy boxes over your head (up to 50 pounds), ability or willingness to stand or run around for 8 hour shifts (or longer). You will be the eyes and ears of the shop for your Supervisor to assist them with the leadership duties since you are running your own production department. You will need to practice STRONG communication skills with all 3 stores and work independently to manage all inventory and stock. You will be closing and cleaning your own area and department until your area is clean and inspection ready. Starting Rate of Pay-

$12 an hour

Hours-

Hours very from early AM – PM (or even overnights) for different shifts. We are open 7 days a week. Must have open and flexible availability and willing to work short notice and must be willing to work Sundays. Must be free to work holidays excluding (Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter when we are closed.) Examples of holidays you would be required to work would be; St. Patty’s day, Fourth of July, Mother’s Day, Valentines Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Eve (we close early in afternoon.) We are extremely busy during Christmas breaks, and Spring breaks and would require open and flexible availability for these times of the year as well.

Locations-

Our employees work between all locations; Palm Harbor, Downtown Dunedin and Countryside area. However, all ice cream is done at Dunedin

Salary: $12.00 /hour
