Summary

Gray Television is seeking an HR Generalist, based out of our corporate office in Atlanta, Ga. This position will be entrusted with the facilitation of employee life cycle events, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and terminations. The ability to manage multiple processes at one time, organization, and strong critical thinking skills are essential. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their HR career. What You’ll Do:

  • Support Office Managers in facilitation of employee life cycle events, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Partner with Office and General Managers in response to reporting requests.
  • Tracks, monitors, and respond to Department of Labor reporting, Occupational injury reports, and EEO reporting requests.
  • Process background screenings such as MVRs and substance screening.
  • Assess training needs within Office Manager group and execute webinar training.
  • Assist with Benefits Wellness activities / projects as needed.
  • Keep up-to-date on new developments and regulations in the Human Resources field such as changes to FLSA and I-9 laws.
  • Maintain and filing personnel information.
  • Support recruiting activities. • 1-2 years human resources experience as an HR Generalist or HR Specialist with both exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Comprehensive understanding of human resources, management and business best practices
  • HRIS experience at the administrator level
  • Strong written and verbal skills; ability to communicate concisely and effectively.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with managers and employees, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to produce results in a rapidly-changing environment and demonstrate initiative and follow-through
  • Highest level of integrity
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions
  • Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, to be flexible, to work well with many interruptions and have skill in multi-tasking.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Working knowledge of various operating systems and software products including Google Docs, MS Office, etc.
