Human Resources Generalist, Temporary Assignment

This is a temporary assignment starting April 17 through September 15. The schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday. This position in not eligible for benefits.

PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

The Human Resources Generalist will provide guidance and support to the Human Resources team to ensure efficient administration and management of the Human Resources function to include staffing and retention, compensation, compliance, and execution of employee relations activities in order to achieve their business objectives. Deliver excellent responsive customer service by performing the following:

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain HR data integrity and conduct audits to ensure continuous accuracy.

Oversee benefits enrollments, changes and required paperwork. Maintain and update all employee benefit websites and ensure data integrity.

Assist with new hire and post-employment communication and administration.

Administer the Worker’s Compensation process and claims, OSHA log, and various reports.

Participate in the employment and recruitment process for all positions.

Maintain and update employee records through the company’s HR data base and provide standard employee management reports.

Ensure 100% compliance with all state and federal employment laws.

Administer human resources programs, policies and procedures.

Coordinate the administration of job postings, applicant tracking and file management, recruiting, screening, respond to inquiries, reference/background checks, training and communication to job candidates as needed.

Provide guidance, counseling, and assistance for supervisors and managers.

Administer corrective action procedures in order to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.

Provide information to employees regarding HR programs, employee benefits and related issues.

Implement all actions required to ensure regulatory compliance.

Act as Employee Relations agent for all levels within the organization.

Maintain Human Resource databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.

Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company human resources policies, procedures & documentation.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent combination of experience and education. PHR Certification preferred.

3+ years experience in the Human Resources field.

Cooperative attitude with team-oriented disposition with excellent customer service skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and organize projects and strategic initiatives.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities, at all times.

Maintain a pleasant attitude and professionalism while working under high pressure situations.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task and work in a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and organize projects and strategic initiatives.

Proficient computer skills in ADP payroll system, (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, and Internet.

Understanding of State and Federal Labor Laws.
