Human Resources Generalist

QuadWest Associates, LLC is searching for an experienced individual to fill a Human Resources Generalist position. The ideal candidate will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources function for clients. The HR Generalist serves as a consultant to client management on Human Resources related issues. The HR Generalist communicates needs proactively with the necessary personnel and seeks to develop integrated solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and makes recommendations to client management for improvement of the client’s policies, procedures and practices on HR matters.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation.
  • Maintains responsibility for communicating and educating compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all HR matters.
  • Communicates changes in client personnel policies and procedures and recommends actions so proper compliance is followed.
  • Works directly with client’s managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Analyzes trends in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.

Key Requirements

  • 4-10 years experience in HR position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • Knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act, COBRA, and federal and state reporting and record keeping requirements concerning compensation, health and safety required.
  • HR Certification is preferred.
  • Travel to clients in the Metro Detroit area.
