Job Description

The Westin Seattle is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator who will represent the Human Resources department and bring his/her best every day. The coordinator is the first point of contact when guests, internal and external, enter the Human Resources department. A successful candidate will have strong time-management skills and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapt well to changing priorities, and enjoy the opportunity to take initiative. Responsibilities will include: • Greet visitors and handle incoming calls • Assist with hotel-wide communications, including daily announcements and weekly • Continuously update and refresh Westin branded department and hotel bulletin boards • Take lead on coordinating associate recognition programs • Perform administrative duties such as creating and maintaining HR files, answering the phone, faxing documents, purchasing for the department, processing invoices, auditing and tracking, and completing employment verifications. • HRIS data input and executing reports • Answer and direct associate inquiries • Support recruitment and on-boarding activities from pre-employment to hire • Be the point of contact for union deduction set up • Process payroll data such as one-time deductions, bus pass reimbursement, and miscellaneous data • Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance The Westin Seattle offers a competitive salary, health and 401K benefits, employee stock purchase plan, transportation subsidy, worldwide hotel discounts, and more. Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following: • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office and comfortable with using excel spreadsheets, mail merges, Outlook • Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Strong computational abilities • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Must have a minimum of one year of administrative experience, or education equivalent. • Experience with complex HRIS (PeopleSoft & Kronos) strongly preferred • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment • Prior hotel experience is preferred
