Human Resource Coordinator

Summary

Provides administrative support to facilitate the administration of Human Resources programs such as talent management, training and development and benefits administration. Processes and maintains a variety of confidential employee information. Works with all Human Resources functional areas and actively participates in all initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Talent Management
  • Processes all employee change and new hire paperwork
  • Creates, maintains and manages employment files
  • Assists with New Hire Orientation program
  • Processes all Employee Action Forms
  • Benefits Administration
  • Makes every effort within scope of expertise to provide caller/visitor with information or service requested at the first point of contact or referring to appropriate resource when necessary
  • Other
  • Performs a variety of clerical duties, including scheduling meetings, producing agendas and memos, addressing and distributing mailings, collating, copying, faxing information.
  • Maintains collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working group’s achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment.
  • Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry.
  • Other duties as consistent with this role.

Job Requirements

Job knowledge and skills

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks and prioritize according to established criteria and protocols. Uses time efficiently.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills a must
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) for email, scheduling, and navigation of the hospital’s computer systems. Prior experience with database management preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and changing deadlines and the adaptability to change required.

Education & Experience

  • AA in Human Resources Management or similar field, BA preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in Human Resources

An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Normal office – some automobile travel may be required
