Job Description

As the HR Web Communications Coordinator , you are responsible for the coordination of HR marketing and communications efforts as driven through its technology and systems. You will organize the HR communications calendar, develop HR communications plans and strategies in partnership with Global Communications & Marketing and the HR Content Owners. You will leverage HR’s systems and technology to drive team member engagement and ensure a positive team member experience globally. You will help to lead improvement efforts to HR’s portal and collaboration spaces through design and implementation. This position will also help to ensure HR’s online tools are continually evolving and represent HR strategy while remaining aligned with the MERC and Micron’s brand.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Direct HR’s online communications strategy

  • Coordinate with and advise other communication teams to ensure appropriate communication is delivered to all affected team members.
  • Recommend communication or organizational change management plans when prompted through observation and electronic notification.
  • Ensure that the HR’s online tools are representative of HR strategy and are sending the appropriate message to the appropriate audience via the appropriate channel. Publish deliverables and gather metrics to determine communication effectiveness.
  • Write e-mail communication.
  • Manage department newsletters and blogs.
  • Create presentations, fliers, handouts, and surveys.
  • Organize Shared Learning Forums, department meetings, and leadership meetings.
  • Participate as a liaison between the IS organization and the Corporate Communication team.
  • Research, recommend, and implement new or improved organizational change management and communication methods.

Pursue Quality Management and Process Improvement Opportunities

  • Manage HR’s Editorial Content Review processes, including the global HR communications plan and related calendar.
  • Coordinate the publication of the dynamic content within the MyHR portal.
  • Work with content contributors to outline new content areas based on their objectives and audience needs.
  • Partner with Content Owners to ensure information on websites is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Maintain HR communications collateral, ensuring we deliver relevant and high quality materials to Micron team members
  • Analyze HR’s marketing and communications efforts during and post campaign to refine HR’s practices and ensure high return on investment

Plan, Develop and Manage Online Content

  • Champion web content standards; ensure that all content is within current style and tone guidelines.
  • Work with Content Owners to enhance, edit, and reformat legacy and newly created content.
  • Identify the most effective way for users to interact with a website.
  • Provide consulting and community support for portal & collaboration technology efforts throughout the global HR team.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing and/or Web Design or equivalent experience required. Master’s Degree in a similar discipline is desired.

Experience

3 – 5 years of communications, marketing web development and/or portal management.
