HR Generalist/HR Support Center Specialist

Description:

  • The HR Generalist/Human Resources Support Center Specialist is responsible for front line, direct contact with customers and internal support of HR partners.
  • Responsibilities include answering employees’ inquiries through HR Information Network (HRIN) service center, troubleshooting questions related to benefits, compensation, and HRIS and Case Management systems functionalities, plus other work as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer HR customers’ (employees, vendors, business partners, managers, etc.) questions on a variety of topics, including benefits, payroll, taxes, absence, time, compensation
  • Resolve complex issues ensuring exceptional customer service satisfaction
  • Document all inquiries, issues and transactions using the case management system
  • HRIS research/troubleshoot in areas such as HCM, benefit, payroll, compensation, performance management, absence management, time, workflow processes, security set up, integration and case management system.
  • Act as back up for the Payroll Manager to process bi-weekly payroll, manage timecard and time off entries, monitor taxation changes and calculations, and conduct payroll audits.
  • Design and develop reports, queries and extrapolate data/information
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established SLA requirements
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned, which may become essential to the position

Skills/Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of payroll and benefit administration and processing a plus
  • Strong knowledge of HR information systems (HRIS)
  • Knowledge of case management systems (especially NeoCase) a plus
  • Ability to solve problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision
  • Strong organization skills, detail-oriented, yet able to analyze and recommend alternatives
  • Ability to prioritize and address competing demands; multi-tasking capacity critical
  • High degree of respect for the confidentiality and sensitivity of HR and payroll data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert in basic MS applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
  • Knowledge of MS Project or other project management tools
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to learn and understand various computer systems
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in HR / business / or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Education in human resources administration a plus
  • Minimum two years at the HR Generalist level, preferably within an HR operations team, service provider and/or shared services environment
  • Experience with Workday highly desired
