Things You’ll Do

You’ll be functioning in two main areas throughout the day: Strategic Partnering and People Management.

Strategic Partnering

  • Provides support for the planning, development, and implementation of effective resource strategies and policies including but not limited to staffing plans, succession planning, skill gap analysis, budgeting etc.
  • Provides leadership to assigned business unit through effective objective setting, trend analysis, delegation, and communication. g. monitoring turnover trends and creating internal solutions based on findings.
  • Assists Senior Management in developing short and long-term objectives, goals, and strategies to help build company and department culture as well as foster tenure and productivity. E.g. learning plans, development plans, 360 feedback etc.

People Management

  • Ensures effective administration of the Company’s compensation, benefits, and incentive programs. Provides recommendations to Senior Management that ensure appropriate service delivery and effective cost management.
  • Provides advice and interpretation regarding human resource policies as they relate to individuals and to Company objectives.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation, and work with Director of People Experience to update policies to ensure compliance.
  • Owns department data integrity in HRIS system.
  • Ensures designated department has learning needs met within budget and within corporate direction.

Job Match

I Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree in HR or business related field
  • 3 to 5 years leading a business unit in the HR function
  • Excellent knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws
  • In-depth experience with an HRIS system

  • Navigate cross departmental boundaries easily
  • Deal with ambiguity and make decision based on my own knowledge and understanding quickly & easily
  • Communicate directly and concisely in all modalities
  • Influence Sr. Management without using direct authority or relying on policy.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Establish relationship of trust across department boundaries
