Help Desk Technician/IT Support

The IT Technician will be responsible for acting as the end-user’s initial point of contact for responding to, and resolving, corporate software and hardware issues. Primary job duties are as follows:

  • Logging all issues through internal Help Desk software, escalating issues as needed.
  • Ensuring technical Help Desk tickets are processed and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Providing technical assistance in design, installation and support of information technology.
  • Assisting in the planning, engineering, implementation, installation and support of hardware, software, applications and related services.
  • Diagnosing and repairing hardware, consulting with individual users on computer related problems and providing computer skills training for all professional staff, if needed.
  • Participating in end-user meetings to determine enhancements or design specifications.
  • Updating inventory systems regarding hardware assets.

Skill set required: Candidate must a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 products and Microsoft Windows 7. Must know and understand how to work with various computer peripherals. Position requires prior experience in a Help Desk situation and outstanding customer service skills. There will be frequent interaction with branch management and external customers.

You must be willing to travel occasionally, within the southwest United States, for hardware/software installations at our various locations. You must be flexible in personality to deal well with other technical personnel as well as be outgoing and personable to help further promote our company with clients you deal with. This is an hourly position with a pay range of $14.00-$17.00, DOE. Office hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • High school or equivalent

  • MicroSoft products: 1 year
