Our client, a non-profit health organization of over 17,000 employees, is expanding the Help Desk team. The Help Desk Technician (Tier 1 and Tier 2) is a full time, full benefit contract position.
This position will be the first line of support for customers and must have experience serving a large client base with a high ticket/call volume. The Technician will provide accurate and timely technical support to customers via telephone, email and chat. The calls will be technical in nature with varying degrees of priority. The Technician is also responsible for escalating the call/ticket to the appropriate resource.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer a high volume of incoming calls from internal clients.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 Technical Support and escalate as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Document details of all calls and update ticketing system appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of PC’s and laptops.
  • Previous experience providing support to a large customer base
  • Ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues.
  • Ability to think outside-the-box and identify root cause.
  • Working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and basic computer hardware components.
  • Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software.

  • A+

Other Requirements:

  • Previous experience using a ticketing system
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts. May have to work 2nd or 3rd shift on a regular basis.
  • Client’s establishment is SMOKE FREE. Applicant must be a non-smoker.
  • Must be willing to get a Flu vaccination, or provide documentation that one has already been administered within the past year. If you are unable to receive the Flu vaccination due to allergies, documentation must be provided stating so.
  • Must have reliable transportation
