Health Data Analyst

As the Quality Innovation Network – Quality Improvement organization for Idaho and Washington, our team of quality improvement consultants, data experts, and clinicians partners with healthcare providers to redesign processes, build sustainable change, and deliver care with greater value and quality.

In this key role, you would:

• Develop data analyses that will be used in quality improvement studies and initiatives throughout Washington and Idaho, including structured automated dashboards and ad-hoc analytical deep dives into relevant areas of clinical interest and concern.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop data solutions to challenges in healthcare.
• Support consultants in the field to identify the root cause of health outcomes trends.
• Design and build internal tools to improve data visualization of complex healthcare information.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with SQL, SAS, R, or other programming languages.
• General understanding of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions).
• Advanced level proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to manipulate data sets through statistical software and develop ETL to groom and standardize data.
• Ability to communicate complex data analyses to non-technical audiences.

Required Experience

• 4+ years of data analysis, research, and/or other relevant work experience.
• Prior healthcare work experience preferred.
  
• Experience developing data visualizations (using Tableau or comparable applications).
• MA / MS in epidemiology, social sciences, statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field.
• BA/ BS in the fields specified above and 5+ years of relevant work experience may be substituted.
