Head : Finance and Administration

Requirements

  • A B degree in Finance/Public Administration
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years’ relevant experience at
  • management/ supervisory level within a fi nancial

    and administrative support management environment

  • Financial management control and budget competencies
  • (Ability to manage fi nance, including budgeting and

    cost control)

  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and policies
  • (e.g. MFMA)

  • Strong fi nance experience (Local government experience
  • will be an advantage)

  • Computer literacy with sound knowledge of SAP
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Key Performance Areas

  • Managing the fi nancial and administrative
  • functions of the branch

  • Supporting management in the development and
  • implementation of business plans, processes and programmes

  • Managing the procedural and administrative requirements
  • associated with HR administration matters/initiatives for

    the branch

  • Directing and controlling outcomes associated with utilisation,
  • productivity and performance of personnel within the Operational

    Support section of Support Service branch

  • Preparing/Coordinating the annual operating and sundry
  • capital requirements of the branch

  • Monitoring and reporting on operating expenditure
  • performance for the branch

  • Identifying, defi ning and managing immediate short- and
  • long-term objectives/plans associated with the Operational

    Support (Finance and Administration) section

  • Managing the provision of branch facilities and logistics.
