Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated hardware design engineer with a wide breadth of experience to join our talented team. The ideal candidate has experience writing RTL and firmware for wireless communication systems, and is comfortable tackling new challenges and learning quickly. You would be joining a small, experienced, cross-functional team that includes system engineer, electrical engineer, mechanical engineers, and software developers. The ideal candidate has both large and small company experience, with an understanding of quality controls and a desire to move quickly in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

– Analyze wireless communication system blocks in the physical layer and the protocol stack.

– Implement signal processing algorithm using FPGA.

– Design software tools and firmware for secure embedded system.

– Work with senior engineers on architecture development, component selection, and system verification.

Minimum qualifications

– Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

– 3 years of FPGA design experience in OFDM communication systems.

– Programming experience in Verilog and C/C++.

– Verification experience in developing module and system level test-benches

– Relevant work, research, academic or personal project experience in MCU development.

Preferred qualifications

– 5+ years of RTL design experience and a track record of developing successful products.

– Experience with 3GPP and/or 802.11 PHY layer implementation in FPGA.

– Experience with FPGA system real-time probing and debugging.

– Experience with SystemVerilog or High-Level-Synthesis (HLS) tools.

– Experience with IP integration from IP generation tools and custom IPs.

– Experience with scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, and csh/bash.

– Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
