Guest Service Agent-Overnight

Answer Guest Service telephones and record orders with 100% accuracy. Convey orders to both the servers and Food & Beverage for accurate and prompt delivery.

Answer the Guest Service telephone within three (3) rings with established standard telephone greeting using the guest’s name. Take order with 100% accuracy.

Advise guest of all promotions, and/or daily specials and apply upsell techniques when applicable.

Take telephone orders from customers not in the hotel, send gift baskets or special order items to arriving or in-house guests.

Respond to hospitality inquiries and record all pertinent information for the Guest Service Manager to follow-up.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

• Excellent telephone etiquette.
• Must possess valid Drivers License and clear driving record
• Knowledge of all menu items, prices and methods of preparation.

*Physical Demands

• Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.

• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
