GSC Administrative Assistant Job

As an Administrative Assistant at Micron, you will perform administrative support, including conducting research, handling information requests, ensuring timely communication, event planning, and performing administrative functions such as; calendar maintenance, travel arrangements, expense reports, filing, office organization, visitor reception, phone conferences and meeting / group-event coordination.

The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility. The candidate will possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks with minimal guidance or supervision. Key to the position is the ability to be organized, prioritized and on time while also serving as a “go to” for all members of this large team.

The position requires the capacity to work successfully in a team environment, build effective working relationships inside and outside the group, while keeping abreast of general business objectives, policies, standards, services, facilities, procedures and related information in order to maintain a comprehensive awareness of the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

Coordinate Department Resources

  • Office remodels
  • Resources for new team members and team member moves.
  • Maintain department area and conference rooms
  • Organize and schedule department meetings: securing rooms, catering orders, conference calls and visitor access.

    Support Leadership

  • Act as proxy for area supervisors and managers
  • Assist in organizing events, event supplies, and promotional material
  • Assist in distributing communication
  • Assist in maintaining supplier contact information
  • Assist in maintaining GSC SharePoint site
  • Project support

    Maintain Office Area Efficiency and Supplies

  • Distribute mail and packages,
  • Train team members on proper use of area office equipment
  • Schedule maintenance and repair for area office equipment,
  • Arrange and track package shipments
  • Order supplies, business cards and corporate credit cards, laptops, telephones, and other electronic devices, and manage company related purchases

    Coordinate Travel

  • Schedule travel for team members, train team members on the travel system
  • Process expense reports, reconcile expense reports
  • Process visa and passport requests

    Qualified Applicants Should Have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ related experience
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in M.S. Office, SharePoint, travel software programs and other office productivity tools
  • Respect and adherence to confidentiality
  • Comfort in working with all levels within and across the organization
  • Ability to quickly learn organizational structure and the objectives of the team
  • Passion and enthusiasm for Micron’s mission
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, team orientated philosophy, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
  • High levels of integrity and discretion
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituent groups such as senior management, peers, and outside vendors
  • Highly motivated, organized individual who is able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to build a strong internal network
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus

    Education:

    B.S./B.B.A. in Business or related field (preferred)
