A sales floor. One company. We offer continuing education in the dental field as well as sales, branding, and design to dental companies. We are located in the Belltown neighborhood of Downtown Seattle just above the Pike Place Market and are actively seeking a full-time Graphic Designer & Project Manager to join our dynamic marketing team.

You are a talented individual contributor with the ability to lead by example and inspire his or her cross-disciplinary peers. You are a conceptually-driven, strategically-minded graphic designer with strong experience in direct mail and production, as well as general graphic design for all mediums. You know how to get things done, and done really well. You are both wildly imaginative and profoundly practical-with a fundamental understanding of when each of those talents should be brought to bear.

Graphic Designer Job Duties (30 percent):

-Plans concept by studying information and material.

-Prepares work by gathering information and materials.

-Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.

-Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.

-Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors.

-Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.-Experience creating Logos, Postcards, Mailer’s, Brochures, Tradeshow Booths, Collateral.

-Experienced in creating web related assets

-Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

-Contributes to team effort by participating in brainstorms and strategy sessions.

Project & Production Manager Job Duties (70 percent):

-Completes projects by coordinating with outside mail houses, art services, printers, etc.

-Maintains schedule for all print and design deliverables

-Manages all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion

-Negotiates the multiple relationships within any project- whether with clients, team members, or any variety of partners (such as freelancers or contractors)

-Not only leads the process of the project but also the strategy

Graphic Designer Skills and Qualifications: Graphic Design Skills, Layout Skills, Creative Services, Customer Focus, Creativity, Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Desktop Publishing Tools, Acute Vision, Handles Rejection, Project Management Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field

4-6 years of graphic design experience in all aspects of design (advertising, promotional items. sales collateral, pre-press, website, digital and print)

Solid knowledge of the print production process (e.g., optimizing graphics, compression settings and file size and image optimization, packaging files for print, etc.)

3 years experience with project management in particular managing complex projects from inception all the way through completion

Software proficiencies: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

Full Time Position: M-F
