Graphic Designer/Production Artist

Looking for entry level or experienced graphic designer with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills to help run our Art Department. We are a established Screen Printing and Embroidery Shop of over 25 years and looking for someone to work with our Art Department Manager and assist in day to day operations. We are looking to hire a full-time employee but are open to part-time employee as well. I would like to see a portfolio of work showcasing illustration or design using vector based graphics since 90% of time will use Adobe Illustrator to complete job.

Some of the tasks required to complete promptly throughout the day:

• Set up visual proofs using our templates in Adobe Illustrator
• Size logos according to placement on items by following customer guidelines
• Establish colors to be printed either with stock colors or using Pantone
• Create screen printing separations and rip separations using rip software(will train)
• Use Photoshop to edit raster logos
• Set up sticker or vehicle graphic designs for large format printer or vinyl plotter(will train)
• Logo Design
• Create embroidery proofs using Wilcom Embroidery Software(will train)
• Edit Embroidery Designs if needed(will train)
• Enter Design Details in Shop Management Software(will train)
• Answering customer questions regarding artwork proofs and making revisions
• Work with screen printing department or embroidery department to fix issues on production floor

In summary looking for someone that has advanced skills using Adobe CC that can work well with others. Good decision making skills and ability to ask questions is a must. Must be detail oriented and can communicate well with customers. Willing to train right person but graphic design abilities a must especially Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. College degree is a plus but looking for experience and quality work above all. Please send portfolio to prove you have necessary graphic skills.
