Graphic Designer

We have an opening as an experienced Creative Web/Graphic Designer who will be responsible for the design and creation of VC Media in-house designs for both print and web. The designer will also participate in critiquing of designs and collaborate for new ideas with other members of the department. The Creative Web/Graphic Designer is responsible for creating of all web products and designs, including VC Media website, splash pages, banner ads, etc.Additionally, the position will have a high degree of visibility across all company departments and will be responsible for the web products to ensure all details of the projects are delivered in a timely and concise manner. Tasks and Responsibilities: – VC Media in-house designs for both print and web.- Collaborate with artists/management to deliver high-quality, creative products- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.- Plans concept by studying information and materials.- Partner with internal teams, including creative, marketing, and others, to define business goals and expected consumer needs/outcomes- Illustrates concept by designing layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.- Completes projects by coordinating with in-house departments- Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.- Critique designs from the other designers and collaborate for new ideas- All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications: – 2+ years professional experience in the design, development, and/or project management of web products.- Articulate, strategic, and pragmatic problem-solver with ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment- Excellent ability to write, speak, and use images to clearly and persuasively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.- Proven ability in the creation and direction of quality digital graphic design and digital products.- Must be familiar with graphic design and design software on a MAC platform; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Go Live, and Adobe In Design.- Must be proficient with MAC computer.- Must be familiar with shortcuts.- Must be service oriented.- Strong design and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and deliver against strict deadlines- The ability to be flexible, multi-task and work effectively in a team environment is required.- Keen attention to detail Education/Experience Required: – Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
