Graphic Designer

Osterhus Publishing Company is a family-owned publishing company that has been in the Minneapolis area for over 100 years, providing clients with quality design and superior printing.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Osterhus has an opening for a full-time print shop position as a Graphic Designer and Printer.

Oversees the designing, setup and printing for a variety of clients and projects. Intakes jobs, assists clients with any questions or concerns and determines job prioritization. Answers phone inquiries and e-mails from customers. Oversees operation of digital printing equipment and maintains inventory of paper, toner and other consumables.

Ideal candidate is a self-starter, independent, customer service oriented, and able to multi-task efficiently within a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent position for someone looking for initial experience in a design/print-related work environment, as well as for an experienced designer who is looking for a variety of projects to design and print. Can be new to printing, but must know design. Benefits are included, and salary is dependent on experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

· B.S. degree in Graphic Design (emphasis on print is ideal)

· Previous work experience in printing a plus, but not required

· Proficiency in Adobe CC (particularly InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)

· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (particularly Word and Excel)

· Comfortable in Apple computer environment

· Superb customer service skills

· Comfortable working in a Christian environment

· High attention to detail and organization
