Graphic Designer

Description

TCHO’s marketing team is looking for a full-time Graphic Designer who will work with agency and internal teams to lead creative concepting and design for consumer-facing marketing effort. These will include product campaigns, retail collateral, digital and print advertising, digital storytelling, photography/video support, and trade-show booth design, with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Production, Sales, and Senior Management. In this role, you’ll work across multiple areas to play an essential role in the creative look and feel of our marketing efforts through design and art direction that supports the TCHO brand. You’ll work with internal teams to concept and create engaging and on-brand marketing collateral. You’ll also ensure that creative adheres to brand guidelines, while assisting with production design and supporting the production of digital and print creative assets.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Media Arts or similar.
• A portfolio of work showcasing excellence in visual design. If you have them, please include user work flows and wireframes that demonstrate creative and innovative problem solving.
• 2+ years’ experience in graphic design/art direction working within an in-house creative department or other creative team environment. Consumer-facing product brand and/or lifestyle brand experience preferred. A passion for photography and video content is a plus
• Experience working across print, web, and interactive media and demonstrated portfolio of solutions

• Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through sketches and wireframes
• Ability to handle multiple projects, stay highly organized, and meet sometimes tight deadlines is a must
• Highly skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and other design tools (WordPress & MailChimp a plus)
• Experience in designing from start to finish including the development process
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present work to large groups and executives
• An understanding of how to apply TCHO’s design aesthetic
• Has leadership potential
• A passion for Chocolate, TCHO, its products, and its customers/consumers is a must

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with Marketing Director, Marketing Managers, and external agencies on conceptualizing and designing any and all visual assets needed for TCHO’s marketing effort
• Develop and design all marketing collateral, including but not limited to sell sheets, price lists, coupons, assets for trade show booths, and event signage
• Concept and create new product packaging designs, as well as update existing packaging artwork as needed
• Design social marketing collateral
• Communicate print specs and needs to print vendors to ensure excellence in print accuracy and quality
• Help to define and reinforce brand guidelines; choosing stock photography, shooting or managing photo shoots (isolated product as well as editorial)
• Create all new graphic content for TCHO.com and other TCHO web assets
• Manage, organize, and disseminate all design assets
• Work closely and effectively with a cross functional team made up of Marketing, R&D, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales to assist in the new product development process. Making sure design deadlines and cross functional requirements are met
• Help facilitate cross functional review of all outgoing graphic assets
• Work closely with Quality Assurance to make sure all packaging meets CCOF Organic, Fair-Trade USA, and FDA regulations
