Graphic Designer

Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems.

We are seeking a Graphic Designer at our corporate offices in Sherman Oaks, California. The Help Group is an exciting, fast-paced work environment, which allows professionals to truly be the experts in their field of expertise!

You will be responsible for helping to oversee brand identity and user experience across print, web, and digital projects while working closely with various department stakeholders to ensure that both organization vision and creative expectations are met. Under the direction of the Communications Director, you will also contribute to processes and procedures that drive department efficiencies.

The right candidate will be passionate about design, and enjoy working in a team setting. We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate should be able to hit the ground running as soon as a request rolls in. In addition to possessing the technical experience to execute projects, you must have a keen eye for design.

Qualifications:
+3 years of experience in overseeing and executing design campaigns in print, web, and digital

Expert with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other Adobe Create Suite CC programs

Strong typographic and layout skills required

Experience with WordPress

A solid understanding of html and css

Knowledge of email marketing platforms like Mailchimp and Constant Contact

Maintain and manage all digital and print assets

Ability to work collaboratively with a team and accept creative direction from senior staff

Must have a positive spirit and a “can-do” attitude

Ability to work under pressure multitasking

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Generate creative concepts that go above and beyond, yet fit the company’s branding

Perform in-depth design analysis

Develop style guides and mood boards

Create logos, flyers, brochures, event signage, landing pages, ads, social media graphics, etc.

Design and setup banners and emails for marketing campaigns

Assist in designing beautiful, simple and functional web-based designs

Work with print house in obtaining price points and turnaround time on projects

Work with various departments and individuals to ensure projects get signed off and sent to print in a timely manner.
