Gaumard Scientific Company, a world leader in health care simulation products, is currently looking for a Graphic Designer . Gaumard has manufactured and marketed simulators for health care education for more than 60 years.

Users worldwide – the military, emergency medical services, major teaching hospitals and nursing schools – recognize Gaumard products for their innovation in simulation in the pre-hospital, obstetrics and gynecology, surgical and nursing care segments. In 2000, Gaumard launched the revolutionary family of NOELLE® maternal and neonatal care simulators that changed the way training is conducted. In 2004, Gaumard pioneered the use of fully tether less technology with the introduction of the family of HAL® simulators. In 2014, the company introduced Victoria™, its most advanced, mobile maternal/fetal simulator as part of the NOELLE family.

Gaumard manufactures its products at its world headquarters in Miami. The company sells simulators through its own representatives in North America and through 200 distributors in 70 countries.

• The successful candidate will be detail oriented, strongly organized and possess excellent design skills. This person will have experience with graphic design and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Must be fluent in graphic applications including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Must be able to work with multiple projects and be able to perform within tight deadlines, have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to a changing environment and acquire new skills. This is an in-house position.

• Portfolio of representative work will be required.
• Coordinates all aspects of production, including preparing final designs for presentation, checking and approving color, copy, text format separations, and scaling images for print production. Ensures that all parties are informed of and meet deadlines.
• Prepares layouts, designs, art work and formats for use in publication
• Layout and scale photos, marking them for proper screen values for print reproduction
• Designs, lays out, and produces artwork that reflects company strategy and brand
• Responsible for brainstorming new creative concepts and designs
• Maintains an advanced knowledge of software used for creating graphic designs and trends within design

Skills:

• Strong skills in Adobe CS5 Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat)
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Expert level Photo retouching
• Strong attention to detail and well organized
• Willingness to receive guidance and direction
• Strong team player who is self -motivated and directed

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
• 2+ years of experience
