Medical City Healthcare is one of the region’s largest, most comprehensive health care providers and includes 14 hospitals, 7 off-campus emergency rooms, more than 50 ambulatory sites, more than 7,000 active physicians and 15,000 employees in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
  • Manage the creative process in order to enhance and promote the Medical City Healthcare brand through consistency, quality and creative promotion.
  • Responsible for concept, design and production of internal and external marketing materials to support services and physicians across various media platforms.
  • Establish and maintain brand standards through design, consistency, and quality across all facilities/markets.
  • Coordinate and manage various design projects, vendors, production schedules and media placements to ensure deadlines are met and cost efficiencies are gained.
  • Maintain good working relationship with management, consultants, vendors and hospital personnel.

General Responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain marketing/advertising and graphic standards
  • Concept, design, layout, typeset and manage consumer and physician-focused print collateral: brochures, ads, flyers, postcards and other promotional materials
  • Design effective training and presentation templates
  • Design and produce digital images for websites, social media promotion, static and rich banner ads and email campaigns
  • Produce digital design work, including banner sizing and versioning
  • Coordinate and manage outsourcing of creative and printing to ensure deadlines are met, cost efficiencies are gained and brand standards are maintained
  • Serve as department liaison for photo and logo requests
  • Serve as department liaison to Xerox Design and Print Services
  • Resize, convert and modify existing creative, identity and interactive elements
  • Coordinate with marketing team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and update
  • Manage, organize and archive creative files and assets
  • Research and search for stock photography
  • Photo conversion, manipulation and editing
  • Manage and maintain online content hub/marketing portal for the division
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal, external clients and print vendor
  • Give and take direction in a constructive way
  • Interpret and perform design specifications with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide training and user support for interactive and MediaWorks software solutions


Qualifications


Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as a graphic designer in an industry, corporate or agency environment is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in art with an emphasis in graphic design or related field is required.
  • Communication – convey ideas and information clearly, concisely and persuasively. Exhibits excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for a variety of internal and external audiences. Ability to communicate with physicians, administrators, and clinicians and exhibit sensitivity to politics among departments, organizations, and partners.
  • Organization – exhibits excellent organizational and project management expertise, attentiveness to detail, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
  • Planning – begins with the end in mind; defines the desired outcomes of projects. Uses project management theory tools as appropriate; works in a timely manner; organizes time and work to enhance productivity; prioritizes work according to goals.
  • Problem Solving – think strategically and work proactively with other departments; willing to do what it takes to accomplish team and individual goals and needs; develops a pro/con analysis assesses impact of decisions; Displays a can-do attitude.
  • Maintains a professional approach to confidential information. Must be sensitive to political, cultural and legal issues affecting hospital system operations.
  • High enthusiasm, creativity and desire to work on an innovative team. Ability to function both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment. Creative, collaborative, flexible, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task.
  • Experience in traditional and digital design applications – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) on PC or Mac.
  • Must be able to build technically correct and precise files for the specified media, whether newsprint or hi-end offset press. Complete files and prepare them to send to printer. Creates files that are 100% error-free and technically correct for press. Requires strong proofreading skills, accurate type corrections, as well as an eye for kerning, alignment and positioning of type
  • Must have a good understanding of basic design principles and elements such as balance, typography, color, and paper. As well as good knowledge of the printing process
