JOB DESCRIPTION

Under supervision, the Graphic Design Coordinator will work closely with divisions, must possess a detailed, in-depth knowledge of the Agency marketing objectives and goals and how these are to be addressed.

Design and produce print collateral; including creating and establishing brand guidelines and templates for agency programs, marketing and outreach event collateral, ads, newsletters, programs, brochures, booklets, trade show displays, signage, annual reports and more.

Coordinate print production on a daily basis, working with vendors and internal mailroom staff; attend press events as required.

Maintain and enhance existing designs within the archive; working with staff to create templates, style sheets and libraries within InDesign.

Assist with procuring photos from developers, color correcting and keywording for digital archiving.

Assist with administration of email marketing, list management, and event registration software.

Attend project-planning meetings and inform divisions and management of concerns and scheduling conflicts as required.

Work closely with vendors to ensure the highest quality print standards and ensure the design intent is preserved through the process; Ensure timely and complete delivery of all client deliverables.

Prepare accurate and informative reports and make appropriate recommendations as needed.

Perform special projects and relevant duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) year college graduate; five (5) years of business experience, or any equivalent combination of both education and experience that meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Previous publishing, and/or digital photography experience a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
  • SKILLS:

    Knowledge of the design standards and marketing objectives for the Agency as well as internal objectives for new design products; Knowledge of HMFA mission, programs and procedures; Knowledge of program planning, implementation and marketing methodology; Computer skills including advanced knowledge of Adobe CC Suite (Mac) including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver; Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel; Knowledge of image formats, print production process and print quality standards required; Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing and to listen attentively; Ability to work independently; Ability to analyze information and make appropriate recommendations; Ability to organize and accomplish multiple assignments simultaneously; Ability to prepare accurate, concise and informative reports; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the general public; Ability to work collaboratively on cross-funtional teams and to work effectively with all levels of internal and external organizations.
