Graphic Design and Production Intern

Are you always tinkering with the latest design software? Do you enjoy the technical aspect of print design and product development? Pop! Promos is looking for a Graphic Design and Production Intern for Summer 2017 to assist our art department by contributing innovative ideas and visuals to the team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated graphic artist to experience design outside of the classroom and inside one of Philly’s fastest growing companies!

As our Graphic Design Intern, you will be the direct creative support responsible for transferring the ideas of our team into compelling visuals for new promotional products. This opportunity will have you working closely with the art team to design products that have the potential for mass production! In turn, Pop! Promos will provide a memorable experience of what it’s like in fast-paced startup culture, a vibrant team to network with, and training in refining the skills that will help build the next great designer.

Essential Responsibilities:
Assisting the sales team in the design of new product virtuals.

Collaborating with the art manager in assisting with product launch and product mock-ups.

Product photography and photo editing.

Assist with the creation of print designs for various promotional products.

Basic understanding of and interest in learning more about the process of print production.

Assist in making revisions to designed pieces.

Other tasks may be assigned.

NOTE: Applicants must submit a PDF or online portfolio of their design work with their resume and cover letter.

Essential Requirements

Ability to work 30-35 hours per week during the summer

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate graphic design, product development, or advertising related program. College junior or senior preferred, but not required.

Excellent at prioritizing and multitasking.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with others in a busy team environment.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong communication skills – must be comfortable asking questions, giving/receiving constructive criticism, and sharing new ideas.
