Graduate Education Admissions and Recruitment

  • Full-time position available in Graduate Education. This position reports to the Dean of the School of Education.

Responsibilities:
Admissions:

  • Receptionist for Graduate Education department
  • Receive, respond to, and track all inquiries related to graduate education
  • Communicate effectively with prospective students via phone, e-mail, and campus visits and maintain excellent rapport with all prospective students
  • Process graduate education applications including data entry, tracking, and initial review of the candidate through program admission
  • Schedule applicant interviews for the Chair of Educational Specialties and PLP interview committee
  • Maintain information for prospective and current students in all university and department-wide ERP databases
  • Report inquiry, application, and enrollment statistics to the VP of Enrollment and Dean of the School of Education as requested
  • Attend Principal Licensure Program Advisory Committee meetings monthly to report PLP statistics, marketing opportunities, and other relevant updates
  • Co-lead online orientation with the Chair of Educational Specialties each semester for all incoming master’s students
  • Attend Graduate Admissions and Data Team meetings

Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications department to create and
  • print digital marketing pieces
  • Consistently update all social media pages
  • Research and implement digital and in-person marketing opportunities for the Graduate Education department
  • Represent Graduate Education in recruitment activities
  • Purchase, organize, and distribute promotional materials
  • Update and maintain the School of Education website (asbury.edu/education)

Gates: Quality Performance Assessment System

  • Track when each student will need to complete Gate 5 and work with upcoming Gate 5 candidates each semester
  • Collaborate with the Chair of Educational Specialties to coordinate Gate 6 Presentation event (reserve rooms, purchase and set up food, be present at evening event to help as needed)
  • Reserve rooms, purchase and set up food, and be present at all Gate 8 events (both on and off campus)

Other Responsibilities:

  • Train and manage a student worker on ERP data entry
  • Collaborate with Course Plan Advisor and Certification Specialist as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Preferred Experience: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required. Excellent clerical skills and experience using various software programs, social media, and other digital platforms needed. A committed and dynamic Christian faith is vital along with the ability to support the University’s theological position, lifestyle standards and mission.
