Graduate Civil Engineer Nottingham

SLR’s busy European Civils and Infrastructure team has enjoyed continued commercial success across a range of sectors, and consequently currently has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate civil engineer to join its established team in Nottingham to provide support on a range of projects including earthworks, renewable energy infrastructure, water treatment facilities and many other civil engineering related projects.

Whilst some projects will be based in the local area, the role may also involve supervision of projects in other locations throughout the UK for periods of up to 3 months at a time.

Whilst the role would suit a graduate seeking their first professional role, we would also be happy to hear from candidates who have already gained commercial experience within a similar consulting/engineering role post-graduation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide office based support to staff in the Nottingham office working on a diverse range of projects. The type of work will help develop this person towards chartered status. The successful person must also be able to drive and be willing to provide site supervision work also, which may require working away from home for up to 2-3 months at a time. This will suit an individual who is keen to develop their skills and knowledge in renewable energy, waste and environmental engineering sectors. Person Specification PERSON SPEC – SUMMARY

• Minimum 2;1 or above degree within Civil Engineering and relevant MSc• Student level ICE membership or above• General understanding of Civil Engineering principles• Full driving license• Any knowledge of drainage or infrastructure design would be an advantage
