Currently the Water Services Department (WSD) has a vacancy for an Information Technology Analyst/Programmer I. This position is primarily responsible for several GIS applications used for business needs in WSD. The position will develop and support applications with GIS software including ArcGIS Server. ArcGIS Online, Collector, Dashboard, Portal and ArcGIS Desktop. The position will also support applications developed with SharePoint and Visual Studio. Other responsibilities for the position will require a GIS background and knowledge of ESRI products. Additional duties will include: developing and monitoring Geoprocessing scripts and developing ArcMap Add-ins.

This eligible list may be used by any department for any current or future vacancies over the life of the eligible list.

SALARY

$54,392 – $81,245 annually. Appointment can be made above the minimum depending upon qualifications. Candidates may be hired above the minimum depending upon qualifications

Comprehensive benefits package includes: 11.5 paid holidays, 12 vacation days, 15 sick days, free bus/light rail pass, traditional pension and 457/401 plans, tuition reimbursement upon hire, choice of Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Cigna HMO, PPO.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Requires at least one year of professional experience with, model builder, python, SQL.
• Database experience with SQL/Oracle Databases, SQL Reporting Services, MS Access.
• Software Experience with Visual Studio, Collector, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Desktop.
• Working irregular hours, second and/or third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings may be required.
• An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered.
• This position is subject to Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background standards. Candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment must be fingerprinted and will have their fingerprints used to check the Criminal History Records of the State of Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Any records returned will be reviewed to determine the candidate’s suitability for the job.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – The job requirements listed above, plus:

• Knowledge of integrated software development tools and techniques, distributed database environments, client and web-based applications security.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Server.
• Experience using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMAP, ArcCatalog).
• Experience using python.
