Job Description

General Mechanic (Seasonal)

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a General Mechanic associates to work in our tomato paste, pizza sauce, salsa, peeled pear canned tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, and tomato sauce production area in Escalon, CA. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality driven. Candidates must be able to work in a team in a fast paced work environment. Currently hiring for multiple shifts. First shift (6AM-2:30PM), second shift (2PM-10:30PM), and third shift (10PM-6:30AM).

Life insurance available after employee has completed 30 days of employment.

Holidays- 10 Company Paid Holidays/year subject to certain requirements

Hourly rate $30.91

Work Schedule:

Monday-Sunday during the months of July- October

First shift (6AM-2:30PM), second shift (2PM-10:30PM), and third shift (10PM-6:30AM).

Overtime may be available based on business need

Year round employment during the months of November-June (Monday-Friday)

Job Overview:

As a General Mechanic you’ll see first-hand how our tomatoes go from farm to table. You’ll be a front of the line employee who will contribute to our continuous growth.

Responsibilities & Duties:

May include, but isn’t limited to:

Full Responsibility Under The Superintendent, Supervisor Or Head Mechanic Or Leader Cannery Mechanic For The Efficiency And Safety Of All Plant Electrical Circuits And Equipment And Also:

The maintenance position is responsible for maintaining and ensuring proper operation of all the equipment within a production area.

Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.

Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.

Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.

Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electrical components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment

Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs

Use tools such as Breakdown Elimination tools, Root cause analysis and thoroughly document work through work logs and SAP software Qualifications.

1-3 years of production maintenance mechanic experience preferred
