Full-time Full Stack Developer

** No headhunters or offshore **

We’re looking for a full-time Full Stack Developer to join our team. Our preference is an employee in-house at our NYC office (two blocks from Penn Station), but we are open to considering a remote setup if you are U.S.-based.

THE ROLE

Your primary role will be to collaboratively build complex, best practices-based front/back-end applications. You will also be involved in the creation of project plans and pre-sales activities (information architecture, estimates, scope, schedule, risks, etc.) and client communications, so strong written and verbal communication skills are required. In a nutshell, the position is about building interesting applications, working with great people, and continuing to learn a huge amount.

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years “Full Stack” development
• At home in a collaborative, fast-paced, best-practices development environment
• Track record of setting and delivering on realistic deadlines
• Passionate about learning and solving problems
• Comfortable handling shifting priorities and concurrent projects while remaining calm
• Willingness to support the team and clients with occasional night or weekend work
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field: Computer Science, Engineering, or related

Front End

Semantic HTML/CSS, Gulp, Saas, Bootstrap and/or other frameworks, Responsive Design, JavaScript (DOM, JSON, JQuery, etc.), React/AngularJS

Back End/Implementation

General Web Application Architecture, MVC, SQL (MySQL/MSSQL/NoSQL), PHP, Python/Node.js, REST/SOAP, PHP Debugging, SOLR

CMS

Drupal 7/8, WordPress are pluses

Systems

LAMP Stack (and variations), Bash and Command Line, Performance/PEN Testing, Hosting Configurations, AWS Experience, Caching, DNS

Workflow/Other

CI/CD, Git (GitHub, BitBucket)/SVN, SSO/SAML, SEO Best Practices, Compliance (ADA/GDPR/PCI DSS), Slack, Basecamp, Jira
