Description

We are looking for a Sr. SDE responsible for managing back-end services and UI. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the user interface, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests. You will also be responsible for integrating the service/UI elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end & back-end technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities

Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules

Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS or Masters in Computer Science or related field – or equivalent experience – required
• 7+ years of experience developing enterprise applications.
• Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or C#/Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform)
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep experience developing enterprise SaaS applications.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
