Full Charge Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to maintain the company’s financial records the primary software is Quick Books while the manufacture and inventory is managed primarily by Fishbowl. The ideal person will be flexible and capable of evolving with the company’s growth and needs.

Compiles and maintains financial reports up-to-date using QuickBooks; Financial management for the company’s accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, statements, management of account funds, cash flow, P&L, balance sheet, G/L entries for month-end close process, reconcile bank accounts daily.

  • Complete Monthly TPT City & State reports and payments.
  • Complete year-end tax documents. Over seeing, managing payroll is up for discussion.
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing, recommending, and following policies and procedures.
  • Verifies figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper allocations.
  • Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using QuickBooks and Excel
  • Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Supports external financial requests and reports by reviewing and providing documentation as needed Completes monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations, Reconciles or notes/ reports discrepancies found in records.

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience: minimum of 3 years accounting duties.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks a must, Payroll module a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel, online banking, MS Office and the internet.
  • Ability to work without constant direction and monitor own work to ensure quality
  • Must be dependable; consistent attendance/punctuality is required
  • Must have ample knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales Tax, General Ledger, Journal Entries and understanding of general Accounting Principles, EDI, e-commerce reconciliation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to deal with a variety of personalities in a professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, stressful environment with tight deadlines. Being highly organized and detail oriented is imperative.
  • Preferably understands inventory management systems and manufacturing. Will need to communicate with IT to be sure QuickBooks is working properly with Inventory and True commerce software. We will train new employee

Skills:

  • General office and bookkeeping knowledge, GAAP.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills required to identify accuracy and mathematical reasoning
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle stress and use excellent time management
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and yet be compatible within a team environment
