Bookkeeper – Full & Part-Time Openings (Tacoma/Puyallup)

A small bookkeeping and tax service company, with diversified clientele, is looking for an Entry Level Full Charge Bookkeeper.

• We provide written and verbal instructions.
• You’ll work with a variety of Personal, Corporate, and Non-Profit accounts.
• If currently attending college, we will try to work around your class schedule.

Starting wage: $13.50 per hour.

• Raises are given as you are able to accurately and timely complete tasks.
• After one year, full-time employees receive: holiday pay, dental, vacation and retirement plan.

Required:

• Basic bookkeeping knowledge through education or experience in some aspect of bookkeeping,
• Typing and ten-key by touch,
• Solid understanding of debits & credits,
• Desire to develop into Full-Charge Bookkeeper position.

Looking for someone who:

• Has some experience/classes in Excel,
• Has chosen bookkeeping/accounting as your career path by education or prior experience,
• Is comfortable asking questions and having all work reviewed,
• Has an aptitude to learn from written instructions
• Has strong attention to detail,
• Will apply sound and ethical bookkeeping practices,
• Will provide a high level of customer service which is our highest priority.

Tasks include but not limited to:

• Accounts receivable and payable,
• Bank and loan reconciliations,
• Credit card entries and reconciliation,
• Cash flow management and monthly financial statements,
• Prepping time cards and processing payrolls,
• Taxes – city, state excise and payroll,
• Detailed/time oriented work as clients are billed by the hour.
