Fuel and Logistics Controller

Candidates from the Fuel and Logistics Industry with the following experience and Skills Work well under pressure Work independently and as part of a team Strong numeracy skills Strong analytical Skills Strong negotiating skills Must be able to facilitate the buying and selling process Complete knowledge and understanding of the Customs process Excellent communication Skills on all levels Computer Literate – Microsoft Office Profficient A thorough knowledge and understanding of the Fuel and Logistics Industry Must be able to complete the process with regards to Fuel and the distribution thereof from start to finish including all relevant paperwork and acquittals.

Negotiate price with fuel supplier. Organise transport of fuel from supplier. Trace shipment in transit. Follow up with end user. Liaising with 3rd party transport company.

Inherent Requirements

Matric and relevant Qualifcations.

Fuel industry price negotiation and transport experience

Knowledge of road freight process from collection to end user in African/SADC countries

Familiar with border control and documentation i.e. VAT Act, Acquittal Process and duties and taxes

Able to work to tight deadlines i.e. 48 hour turnaround time for paperwork to claim VAT and duties
