Frontend UI Developer (Contract)

This position is for a Frontend UI Developer on Blue Nile’s Storefront web development team. As a member of a UI-Development centric team, you will be apart of creating new cutting-edge features and applications for Blue Nile. If you enjoy implementing some of the latest frameworks, iterative development, and researching new frontend techniques to bring the best experience, then this position is for you.

The successful candidate brings new ideas to the table every day, mentors and learns from other developers, and makes a positive impact to everything around them. They love delivering features that make the experience better for both customers and future developers. They firmly believe in the value of automating everything, including testing, building, deployment, and business processes. Excellent communication skills, strong frontend web and UI design experience, and a desire to be part of, and help guide, a tightly integrated Scrum team are all required.

Responsibilities:
5+ years of JavaScript/CSS development

1+ years of experience in ReactJS development

Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively within the team and across teams.

Ability to analyze business requirements and implement sound engineering solutions that meet those requirements.

Good problem solving and time management skills.

Qualifications:
Other JavaScript frameworks and libraries (jQuery, etc)

JavaScript build tools (Grunt/Gulp, NPM/Node, etc)

JavaScript testing and associated libraries (protractor, etc)

Responsive Web Design/Development

HTML5/CSS3/AJAX

RESTful Web Services

Design Patterns

Web Security (e.g. cross site scripting, data cleansing)

Maven, Bamboo or other build/deploy tools

Code quality and code review

ReactNative development experience (Bonus)
