Frontend Developer

Our Frontend Developers are responsible for making our platform look great. They will implement features and the user interface of the Genius Plaza website and platform. They will also resolve performance and scalability issues. This will require a strong understanding of UI/UX concepts and the Genius Plaza brand and mission.

What you will do:
Implement the features and user interfaces using technologies like HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery

Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications

Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products

Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues

Optimize for performance across mobile and desktop

What you will need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

2+ years of JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming

2+ years of HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility

Experience using Bootstrap is required

2+ years experience with browser APIs and optimizing front end performance

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and concepts

Knowledge of CSS preprocessors (Sass and LESS)

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Experience with React and AngularJS is a bonus

Knowledge of Django is a plus
