Front-End Web Developer

White Bear Lake, MN

Anticipated Start Date: August 2018

Overview: This full-time position will work collaboratively with Pheasants Forever’s Marketing Department to help build and improve the user experience for the organization’s web visitors, including members, prospective members, donors and chapter volunteers, as well as employees.

Location: Pheasants Forever’s headquarters office, Saint Paul, Minnesota (location is non-negotiable)

Reports to: Direct report to Director of Public Relations

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assists Full-Stack Web Developer in maintaining and shaping the organization’s websites and online shopping & member experiences (goals of higher traffic, longer site stays and higher conversion of visitors to members & merchandise buyers).
Monitors and tests organization’s websites to ensure all pages, links and processes are functioning properly.
Works with Director of Public Relations to develop and build new page templates and functionalities that serve both editorial and promotional content needs.
Works with Director of Public Relations to improve page content presentation (and architecture when needed) for a better user experience and more conversions (new memberships, membership renewals, donations, merchandise purchases, chapter affiliation).
Updates content in HTML5, CSS3, and other webpage languages.
Cross department work will include, among others; works with Human Resources on new job postings and employee listings, Grants Department on RFPs, Membership Department on online chapter/member services and data processes.
Helps deliver on data and analytics requests for corporate relations and advertising team.
As part of the Marketing Department, the Front-End Web Developer is required to work some nights and weekends for special, front-facing events; including Game Fair, sports shows, State Fair, land dedications, Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic, etc.
Demonstrated interest in conservation and commitment to the mission of Pheasants Forever.
Other duties as assigned.

Basic knowledge of SQL Server 2012

Basic knowledge of ASP.NET

CMS experience

APIs

PHP, Apache and MySQL

Education and Experience Guideline: Bachelor’s Degree in web development, computer science, software engineering or related experience.

Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000, plus Health Benefits and Retirement Package
