Front-End Web Developer Internship

This internship offers a great opportunity to build your portfolio and to work with a very creative and renowned local agency in a team setting. The candidate must possess the ability to develop and be proficient in hand-coding HTML, CSS, Mobile-compliant websites and social applications with an emphasis on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of standards compliant, semantic, web interfaces via HTML and CSS
• Creation of mobile compliant websites
• Creation of digital ads and social applications utilizing APIs
• Design and Template integration into WordPress CMS
• Coding of HTML emails for various clients
• Ability to improvise, troubleshoot and learn new skills on the job
• Ability to communicate with team on timelines

Skills & Experience Requirements

• Seeking degree in Computer Science, Corporate Media, Interactive Media or similar
• Ability in writing standards-based, semantically correct HTML and CSS following SEO best practices
• Strong focus on front-end design and modern web practices to create an efficient user-experience
• Ability to build mobile compliant web sites with a good understanding of cross-browser and mobile operating systems debugging
• Strong understanding of applications programming interfaces (API)
• Experience in building social applications interfacing with social platforms, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
• Excellent project management skills

Working Knowledge of the Following is Required

• Extensive knowledge of the WordPress framework
• Extensive knowledge in UI/UX
• On-site SEO best practices
• Understanding of Google Analytics (installing, tracking, speaking into results)
• Understanding of Campaign Monitor, MailChimp and programming digital ads and email HTML for marketing platforms
