Front-end Software Engineer

White House Custom Colour (WHCC) is looking for someone who can write JavaScript, HTML, CSS and more. You will work to engineer for performance across browsers and delight people by making the best software that we can imagine.

A Typical Week:
You’ll brainstorm with Product Managers and Designers to conceptualize new features.

You’ll learn about new web technologies and discuss the potential solutions to problems.

You’ll collaborate with other engineers and participate in code reviews.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design / Computer Science or a related field.

2+ years of experience writing JavaScript code.

Expertise in building complex layouts with CSS and HTML.

Experience with modern browser technologies.

Strong UX and design sensibilities, and a desire to sweat the small stuff.

Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy for users.

Self-­awareness and a desire to continually improve.

Ideally:
Experience with React or a similar platform.

Experience investigating and improving JavaScript performance.

Experience in small start­up environments.

Experience designing web sites or applications.

Interested in Photography.
