About you

The ideal candidate is a JavaScript expert who has built rich, high-performance, in-browser, applications using cutting edge modern technologies. You will be a creative force and have a deep understanding of how people functionally interact with machines. As part of our engineering collective, you will own the user experience of our Software as a Service (SaaS) product, and engineer user interfaces that emphasize elegance and simplicity in design.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborating closely with Product, Design and Backend Engineering to help build our next-gen SaaS product.
• Build the product using clean and modular code, using your expertise in Javascript, CSS and HTML.
• Developing lightweight and modular front-end abstractions and systems, while pushing the limits of existing UI technology.
• Partner with other functional groups to incorporate their innovations and promote engineering best practices.
• Participate in all aspects of our agile iterative software development process, including scoping, design, effort estimation, coding, peer reviews, unit testing, debugging, maintenance and support.

Required qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals, BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 2-3+ years experience developing rich applications with JS/HTML/CSS
• Expert knowledge of AngularJS or similar JavaScript MVC frameworks
• Working knowledge in the MEAN stack, specifically node.js and MongoDB
• Ability to write high-performance, modular reusable code for UI components
• Experience with MEAN stack, specifically node.js and MongoDB, desired but not required
• Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking

We live and breathe JavaScript. Our back-end is powered by Node.js, AWS, MongoDB and Elasticsearch. Our frontend is HTML5/CSS3 with AngularJS. Our architecture is designed to help us add new components quickly and seamlessly because they are isolated from each other and lets developers control exactly how much of the app needs to load.
