Front End Developer (Freelance / Independent Contractor)

GRAYBOX is looking for a super talented UX Designer and Front-End Developer to join our team and work with us on multiple online projects in our SE Portland Office.

This opportunity is for an independent contractor working remotely. You must be well organized and able to work independently within a distributed team. Excellent communication, documentation and attention to detail are necessary.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of front-end development experience, ideally in an agency/client services background
• A strong portfolio of recent web development projects
• A passion and strong understanding of UX design and a great portfolio to prove it
• Strong experience in responsive web design
• Skilled in HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript, jQueryExperience in ReactJS, React Native, Vue.js, and Bourbon a plus
• Solid experience working with Magento, ExpressionEngine, or Drupal
• Some experience in PHP and Ruby on Rails would be a huge plus
• Comfortable with GitExcellent communication and collaboration skills with clients and team members
• Ability to communicate design decisions and UX principles and document in writing
• Able to contribute to team growth and process improvement
• Ability to explain complex technologies clearly with others
• Great communication skills to work with clients and our team
• You are independent, highly-motivated, dependable and highly-experienced
• We are able to give you tasks, deadlines and know you can deliver
• You have the ability to advise and consult on best practices as we design various sites
