Front End Developer

We are looking for a Front End Developer & Designer to join our Web Team. We are looking for someone with UI / UX design and development experience, an interest in understanding customer behavior, and the enthusiasm to push us forward. This newly created and challenging position will enable you to play a critical role as we work to advance the Helical and Harvey Brand’s digital marketing strategy across all platforms. Your role is critical to maintaining and accelerating our industry leading digital presence. You will be responsible for significant upgrades in UI / UX, supporting necessary back-end integration requirements and maintaining three websites. This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience in UI / UX and email marketing and enjoys optimizing customer interaction and driving customer response.

You will improve the relationship with our customers and drive sales through creativity and problem-solving, using a wide range of tools. You are a developer at heart with a proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 and a familiarity with server side programming (.net, PHP). Familiarity with jQuery, SASS, and Git are also important. You will be expected to have deep understanding and appreciation for the many facets of designing for the modern web including responsive design and app development (iOS and android).

This role reports to the Digital Marketing Manager to code, QC, publish, and analyze web content in support of marketing activities in the digital channels. This role is responsible for researching and implementing content faithful to specifications, maintaining front-end code, and working with internal teams and third party vendors on cross-functional projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute designs for web, email, and other media
  
• Evolve site structure and content presentation and proactively propose ideas to drive ongoing website improvements
  
• Wireframe new initiatives based on specific requirements and functionality
  
• Independently administrate maintenance
  
• Identify and develop interactive opportunities to create compelling experiences to the Helical and Harvey Tool customer.
  
• Test cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for all new developments using standard QA processes.
  
• Work closely with IT to understand integrations with third-party applications to manage development.
  
• Implement branding, text, colors, and backgrounds based on marketing and communication standards

Requirements:
Education and / or experience:

• 2 years of graphic / web design
  
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Graphic Arts)
  
• Experience with Javascript/JQuery, and PHP
  
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver)
  
• Experience with cross-browser/cross-platform development
  
• Experience with and / or ability to learn Joomla is a plus.
