We are looking for an exceptional Front-end Developer to work with our cross-functional team. The Front End Developer resource will have the following responsibilities as it relates to their workstream:

Extend the capabilities of an existing web application and management portal using their JavaScript experience

Take a design to the web using industry best practices and modern frontend tools

Develop new user-facing features using React.js

Work with UX designers to translate visual designs into highly-responsive user interface components

Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to optimize components for maximum performance

Skills Required

Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements

Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

Experience with newer capabilities of React.js, such as React Hooks and the Context API

Strong proficiency in JavaScript

Experience interfacing with RESTful APIs

Ability to design and develop reusable components

Strong understanding of the fundamentals of unit testing

Familiarity with modern frontend build tools

Experience with micro frontends is a plus

Preferred Skills

React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS, Redux, Saga, Jest

Ideally you will also have:

Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics (Graduate Degree always is a plus)

5+ years experience in front-end development

An Agile mindset with experience working in Agile environment

A spirit of collaboration and transparent communication

A natural curiosity for new scripting languages , frameworks and technologies

High personal code/development standards (peer testing, unit testing, documentation, etc)
