Front End Developer

We have an immediate need for a Contract to Hire a Front End Developer to work locally in our Houston office, with our Team. IMMIX Productions, Inc. has been in business for over 15 years, and we have some top name clients.

This person’s responsibilities will include utilization of HTML, CSS and jQuery to develop effective user interfaces, per custom designs that will integrate with a CMS such as WordPress, on web sites and mobile applications. Person will be required to be detail-oriented, technology-driven, and proactive. It will be necessary to interact with a Project Manager to determine project milestone deadlines and associated tasks. Willingness to support innovative solutions to web design issues, implement responsible web design principals to ensure websites render across multiple devices, through the life-cycle of a project. Monitor website performance, i.e. issues related to usability problems, and rectify the issues.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience in Web Development required.
• 3+ years’ Web Applications Development preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience with popular Front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap and Foundation preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience using WordPress CMS required.
• 2+ years’ experience with 1 or more CMS other than WordPress is desirable.
• Proficiency with JavaScript / CSS is a requirement.
• Proficiency with AngularJS is desirable, but not a requirement.
• Experience in SEO work is a plus.
• Knowledge of, and moderate experience with, PHP Software Development is preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux Environments and interacting with the command line.
• Familiarization with Web/Internet security techniques and practices a plus.
• Familiarity and experience with Git or similar Version Control Systems is a requirement.
