Front End Developer

Shiftgig, one of Chicago’s hottest and fastest growing technology companies, is actively seeking a Front End Developer in our Buenos Aires, Argentina office. We are a tech company in a non-tech space and as such, we have a lot of interesting problems to solve. Our architecture is centered around internal and external APIs with consuming clients being our single page applications and native mobile apps.

About You:

You have significant experience building Javascript based user interfaces and apps. You enjoy creating solid, clean code and you won’t hate yourself next time you have to visit it. Have a love of software development and making neat things to help people in their daily lives.

Responsibilities:

• Multiple years of Javascript as your primary programming language
• Consuming RESTful APIs
• Debugging js in the browser
• Working in Single Page Application paradigm
• Taking ownership over parts of an application and collaborating on global issues
• Backbone.js usage on one major project or mo re

Qualifications:

• Experience using Node.js
• React experience
• Familiarity with Grunt/Brunch
• Unit testing (we don’t do TDD all the time, but unit tests are core here)
• Working in cross-discipline Agile team
