Our Digital Team is looking for a talented Front End Developer who is passionate about usability, interaction, accessibility, and design. The pay is rewarding and the work will be a dream come true.

Our front-end web developer will work closely with management and back-end developers to create HTML5/CSS3-based social media and advertising content for desktop and mobile platforms.

Developer should have a basic understanding of Ruby on Rails and other back-end programming architectures and technologies used to develop web projects and mobile applications. Developer should have a high-level of knowledge in design toolsets, and the methods of transforming creative elements for use as HTML based content. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required with a minimum of 2-years of experience in web front-end development.

This is currently a contract position but may transition into full-time employment.

Requirements

Experience building in a Ruby on Rails environment.
Extensive knowledge in HTML5 and CSS3, including CSS animation and W3C standards.
Experience in JQuery Mobile, Bootstrap, Sencha Touch, etc…
Extensive knowledge in JavaScript/JQuery/Ajax.
Thorough knowledge of design tools including, Photoshop, Illustrator.
Ability to take a PSD/mock or concept and turn it into pixel perfect complaint HTML + CSS.
Experience in creating exciting experiences on the iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices.
Cross-browsing testing knowledge or experience
Online Development or Design Portfolio

Skills:

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, effectively manage priorities and communicate progress.
Ability to communicate rationale behind all development, design, and usability suggestions
Ability to provide Fresh ideas and diversity in style.
High level of autonomy

Relevant Work Experience/Requirements:

At least 2-4 years as a front-end developer or proof of outstanding development and design.
