Front End Developer

Job Summary:

Vitalzie is seeking an experienced Client Side Engineer to join our Commerce engineering team. The ideal candidate is passionate about front end development, user experience and is excited about working in a highly collaborative, team environment creating next-generation apps of Bodybuilding.com.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop products of the highest quality through strict attention to visual and interaction details
• Code primarily using JavaScript and XHTML/CSS (Java, handlebars.js, mustache.js a plus)
• Develop object oriented high performance JavaScript
• Develop front end web for mobile (Responsive design a plus)
• Develop unit and subsystem test for JS and mastered UI components
• Utilize and contribute to our core UI standards
• Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Expertise in XHTML, CSS, Object Oriented JavaScript, Ajax, RequireJS, AngularJS, HTML5
• Solid understanding of high performance, JavaScript best practices
• An understanding of most common Object Oriented programming design patterns
• Ability to write well-abstracted, testable, reusable code for common UI components in JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of jQuery
• Ability to create interfaces that are fast, consistent across browsers, and demonstrate an intimate knowledge of browser quirks and best practices
• Extremely detail oriented down to pixel-perfect implementation and yes we mean pixel perfect

Education and Experience:

• 3+ Years developing highly dynamic web applications
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience coding with a strong understanding of SEO
• Experience with Object Oriented programming design patterns
