Freight Invoice Analyst

TransCore – IntelliTrans, LLC, a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time Freight Invoice Analyst to join our team in Conway, Arkansas.

Job Summary: Responsible for assuring internal & external customer satisfaction by performing some/all of the below duties: matching, auditing and disputing freight invoices, receiving and processing checks, expense reimbursements, & check requests, processing the monthly billing, making account adjustments, compiling reports, processing vendor invoices, & performing monthly reconciliation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Matching, auditing and disputing freight invoices for assigned customers for both rail and motor freight traffic
• Gathering details, writing and filing invoice disputes for both rail and truck customers
• Measuring and monitoring detention and demurrage equipment and drivers
• Setting up specified customer KPIs and metrics to measure intervention and overall effectiveness
• Working with plants and carriers to specify facility equipment pool for optimized service and detention reduction

Education : Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred or equivalent experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Understanding of rail and trucking invoicing terminology
• Excellent math, accounting, and auditing skills
• Organized and keen eye for details
• Ability to work independently while meeting internal and external deadlines and milestones
• Ability to provide results presentations to customer as requested and analyze customer and vendor data to reduce invoice DSO and late charges
• Intermediate Excel and MS Office Suite skills
• Proficient business writing and speaking skills, with a strong desire to exceed overall expectations
• Desired – Understanding of rail and motor freight invoicing, billing, diversions, yard operations and day to day freight movement

Technical Skills/Expertise:

• Basic computer skills including a moderate experience with software and data entry; Basic typing abilities
• Efficient with MS Office products: Excel and Word
• Excellent grammar, speaking and writing capabilities
• Experience with logistics/supply chain or transportation industries ideal, but not required
• Understanding of rail billing, diversions, yard operations and overall rail operations desirable
